Terms of Sale

The philatelic property described is offered at AUCTION by STAMPHALL.COM, on behalf of its Affiliate members. The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of all the Terms of Sale in their entirety:

1. BIDDING All lots are sold to the highest bidder at one advance over the second highest bid, plus a 10% buyer's commission. In the case of tie bids, the first bid received shall prevail. For StampHall.com, current Scott Catalogue numbers and values are used, unless otherwise noted.
Bids must be placed at least one increment over the current bid according to the following chart.

2. BID CANCELLATIONS will only be accepted by Email prior to the sale. StampHall reserves the right to withdraw any item should we feel that bid shielding or shilling has taken place. Any bidders who shield or shill will be denied from placing any future bids. StampHall reserves the right to void any bids and withdraw any misdescribed lot prior to sale.

3. PAYMENT for all successful bidder's lots will be charged to the major CREDIT CARD in your account information at the time the auction closes. Please allow 3 days for processing and mailing of lots. Bidders are responsible for shipping and insurance costs which are invoiced at a flat fee of $5 USA, $17 for all others, except for expensive, large or bulky lots which are charged actual cost. Overseas bidders are responsible for any custom duties and taxes imposed by their respective country. Proof of receipt of a shipment at the advised address shall constitute delivery.

4. RETURNS & REFUNDS - 7 DAY SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. All lots are sold as genuine, unless otherwise noted. Any lot may be returned intact within 7 days of receipt for a full refund (no refund for return postage).

5. TAX Buyers residing in Washington are subject to State sales tax, unless exempt and provide a valid resale certificate.

6. CLAIMS Should any dispute arise between bidders, the decision of the Auctioneer is final. Any oral or written statements, including those regarding condition, made by any staff of StampHall are statements of opinion only, and should not be construed as warranties of any kind. StampHall is a subscriber to the American Stamp Dealers Association's Code of Ethics for Public Auction firms. In the event of any dispute between the Auctioneer and Bidder, the parties agree to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the and enforceable arbitration clause, and shall be governed by the laws and regulations of the State of Washington.

7. EXPERTIZATION EXTENSIONS Lots accompanied by an expert certificate issued within the last five years shall not be subject to re-certification. The following conditions apply to requests for certification: a) the lot must be submitted by the buyer within 7 days of the sale & Stamphall must be emailed that the lot is being expertized; b) if the lot receives a negative opinion, StampHall's SOLE liability is to issue a full refund for the original amount paid StampHall, not for any cert fees; d) lots submitted for certification will be considered cleared after 90 days unless Stamphall is notified otherwise; e) if an expertization service declines an opinion, it will not be considered a negative opinion and no refund will be issued.
